Beauty Products I Swear By 2013

Beauty Products 2014

Hello lovelies, Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had an amazing christmas, I am currently on holiday with my family and I am having the most amazing time.
I apologise for the lack of posts, I have been without a computer for some weeks now, I spilt coffee on my laptop anyway, I should be getting a new one soon and will be back with many many outfit posts, a giveaway and even a video (maybe, if i can muster up the courage ha).

2013 is almost over and I must admit, it has been a confusing and also a very amazing year for me. I have been grateful for my family, my friends and my blog for keeping me sane. I decided to put together a list of beauty products that I have adored and have pretty much sworn by throuought the year

1. Shu Uemura Cleansing oil - This is probably my favourite beauty product ever, you simply apply the    oil, wet your fingers then massage your face and the make up washes off. It is amazing, gentle on the eye and even gets waterproof eye make-up off in one go.

2. Carmex - Everybody knows this lovely little life saver, simply my favourite lip balm for soft lips throughout winter when my lips are always so dry.

3. Smashbox Dark Spot Correcting Primer - Best primer I have tries do far, I'm not 100% sure that it is the sole factor that contributed to reducing my dark spots but this primer keeps my face looking very matte for hours.

4. Stella McCarthney Perfume - Ok this one is a bit of a cheat, it is my favourite perfume currently.

5. Clarasonic  - My ultimate life saver, not much needed to say about this. It leaves your skin soft and brighter.

6. Lush Lip Scrub - This is pretty self explanatory, it is a yummy lip scrub that gets the job done and leaves a nice taste in the mouth.

Donate By Colour, Why not?

Hey lovely people, I have found the best thing ever, the Donate by colour handbags by Angela & Roi.
Basically, they are an online handbag brand that combines fashion and philanthropy by colour, they donate $5 from each handbag sale to a chosen non-profit health organisations and also increase the awareness of each cause by color of a handbag sold.
Such an amazing idea right, combining charity with one of my favourite things in the world, handbags. I am very passionate about charity and when I heard of this company I just had to check them out.
The designs are so gorgeous too, they are minimal and classic, which I adore. Also they use Vegan Leather to make their bag, so very animal friendly too.
I have been looking through their website and as hard as it has been, I have narrowed down my favourites.

From Top Left: Sunday Caramel Tote (Child Cancer) - $142 || Sunday Brink-Pink Tote (Breast Cancer) - $142 || Everyday Dark-Orange Long Tote (Kidney Disease) - $120 || Classic Green Cross-Body (Anxiety and Depression) - $93 || Palette Purple Cross-Body (Alzheimer’s Disease) - $65

I put together my favourites to show you just some of their amazing collection and also to show you the range of causes they support. I am already coveting the sunday caramel tote and will be adding it to my christmas wishlist.

Beauty Review: Elizabeth Arden Hydration Boost Night Mask

(Image sourced from: www.feelunique.com)

What It SaysNighttime is the perfect time to give your skin an intense hydration boost. Now you can enjoy a spa-quality hydrating mask at home right before bed when your skin is primed to absorb the maximum benefits. Just leave on this luxuriously intense hydrating mask for 5-10 minutes. You’ll love the soothed, smoothed feeling it gives your skin. Use 1-2 times weekly to boost skin’s moisture levels.

What I Thought: I got this Night mask for free at London Fashion Weekend and I was excited because I absolutely love my Clarins HydraQuench cream. Anyway, after a few months of letting it sit unused in my beauty cupboard, I finally decided to use it. It felt nice initially, it felt like a thick cooling cream however, after a few minutes I felt a slight tingling feeling around my mouth. Very uncomfortable for a hydrating mask.

I left it on for 30 minutes and when I rinsed it off, I must admit, my skin didn't feel more hydrated. It felt softer but still a little bit dry. Regardless, it smells gorgeous and I like the way it felt on my skin and I'm glad I got to try it. Might not repurchase when it runs out though.

Escada Resort Collection Viewing

 ||Coat / Jumper: Escada||Jeans: Topshop || Top: Reiss ||Bag: Prada || Shoes: Stylist Picks||

Hey everyone, If you follow me on instagram (adaora), you would've seen the picture I posted of me and my mother getting pampered at Harrods on saturday. It was such a lovely event hosted by Escada, it was an exclusive viewing of their Resort collection. There's something so refreshing about Resort collections, just as the weather is getting depressing, you get a little reminder of going away on holiday. Anyway, I had so much fun but unfortunately I wasn't able to take any pictures of the collection, I was having so much fun, I forgot to take pictures, I did take some pictures of the gorgeous evening dresses they had.

Cold Nights & Rainy Days

||Jumper: H&M||Trousers: H&M || Bag: Escada || Shoes: H&M|| Leather Waistcoat: Macy's ||

Hey everyone, finally an outfit post right?
I have such a crazy schedule at uni this year so it has been hard to find time for pictures. Anyway, autumn is finally here so I've been excited about finally getting to wear my winer clothes.
I am in love with this leather waistcoat I bought in New York, I wanted a waistcoat for so long and I am so glad I finally found this bad boy. It adds a bit of an edge to an outfit and paired with some colour makes winter outfits a little less depressing.

We Need A Little Aromatherapy

||Peony Rose: £25 || Plum Blossom: £25 ||

I have this inexplainable obsession with candles and these urban apothecary candles just joined my large collection of candles. I've been obsessed with Yankee Candles for so long but these have such a sophisticated and smell about them and the packaging is much better.
Nothing better than lighting up candles at night with a nice cup of camomile tea and a good film. Which is what I am doing right now.
Goodnight x

New York

Hey guys, you've probably noticed that I've been a little bit quiet lately and that is because I was off to New York City for 5 days. It was a long anticipated trip and I am glad that I finally visited a city that I have adored for so long.
Anyway, I thought I would share some pictures of my trip with you guys, I noticed whilst uploading this that I actually didn't take a lot of outfit posts so I will probably be reshooting that later. Also Day 1 & 4 are missing because I didn't do anything on Day 1 besides go out to dinner with my brother who lives out there and Day 4 was another walk through Central Park (It's huge, took us 2 days and we didnt even see it all) but I forgot to take my camera that day.

Day 2: Times Square/ 911 Memorial

 A little walk through Times Square

 View fron the hotel room. The hotel was a lovely hotel situated in the Financial District overlooking the Freedom Towers

Beauty Review: Sleek B.B. Cream

Hey Guys, so I've been trying to resist the temptation to go and buy a B.B. cream because I love my foundations and I do like a medium to full coverage so I didn't really see a need for tinted moisturizer, which has light coverage. Anyway, I read so many praises from people about them and decided to look around, as expected, most of them did not come in my shade but the other day, I was in Superdrug and I saw the Sleek B.B. cream. I must admit, I love it, it gives a full coverage so its like a moisturizing, cheap foundation. I also love the fact that It has no smell, I'm not joking it smells of nothing.
It also looks good on, it gives a natural looking coverage that matches my skin colour so well. I think I will be buying this when it runs out.

Fashion's Finest London Fashion Week

||Top: Reiss || Midi Skirt: ASOS || Bag: River Island || Shoes: Justfab.co.uk (Similar)|| Jacket: Fashion United ||

Hey guys, I've been waiting for fashion week for so long and I have been dying to go and I got to. I attended the fashion's finest fashion shows and they were amazing. I went to the saturday 3pm & 5pm shows and discovered my 2 new favourite designers - Matthew O'Brien & Cassandra Amore. Both collections left me stunned but I found myself wanting everything in Matthew's collection and amazed by Cassandra's couture collection.
For the day, I was going for a simple black & white outfit with a hint of colour

Club To Catwalk - 1980s Fashion at the V&A

You can never go wrong with a casual outfit

(Image sourced from: thatsnotmyage.blogspot.co.uk)

||Shirt: Next  ||  Jeans: Topshop || Bag: Zara || Shoes: New Look ||

Well this summer has been going pretty slowly since I got back from holiday so I was really excited when Sophia from Sophia's Slice told me about the 80s fashion Exhibition at the V&A. It was such a great experience, I was particularly intrigued by how different and bold every piece was. 1980s fashion is incredible but just slightly odd for my taste.
